What's going on?

Going on with the issue we wrote about in our last post, the text we share with you this week includes some ideas regarding the questions “what do we mean with ‘the people’?” and “what do we mean with ‘the field’?”. Both of them are being discussed nowadays in all Argentinean media -and beyond our frontiers, in many other countries- and very few voices have been raised with appropriate answers to them.
Far from trying such a difficult task here, we introduce some quotes that may be just a starting point for reflection. For this should be our task as teachers and librarians: to provide the necessary material in order to promote, support and encourage independent and critical thought, a basis for every society pretending to be really participative and democratic.
